TikTok LIVE Viewer Privacy Notice
Effective 23 September 2026
Are You Watching a TikTok LIVE Stream?
If you watch or comment on a public TikTok LIVE stream where the creator uses TikChat, certain information about your activity may be displayed in TikChat during that livestream.
TikChat is an independent tool designed to help creators manage fast-moving TikTok LIVE chats.
TikChat is not part of TikTok or ByteDance.
What Information May TikChat See?
During a public LIVE stream, TikChat may process, among other things:
your TikTok username;
your TikTok user identifier;
your avatar;
public comments posted during the LIVE stream;
information about joining the livestream;
likes on the livestream;
information about following the creator;
gifts you send;
your gifter level;
your fan club status.
TikChat does not receive your TikTok password, private messages or access to private sections of your TikTok account.
Where Does This Information Come From?
The information comes from data made available during a public TikTok LIVE stream.
TikChat uses EulerStream technology infrastructure, which enables the Application to receive events occurring during the livestream in real time.
How Long Does TikChat Keep LIVE Data?
Detailed event records, including your comment text, are deleted when the LIVE Session is stopped in TikChat or a confirmed provider-end signal is received. TikChat does not offer a searchable archive of completed comments. The creator’s Account may retain session statistics and rankings, including TikTok identifiers and activity totals, until Account deletion or a valid erasure request, subject to legal exceptions.
Can the Creator Remember You?
Yes.
A TikChat User may assign their own designation, such as your name, to your TikTok user identifier.
For example:
@user847362 → Kasia
This allows the creator to recognise you more easily during a future livestream.
Such a designation may remain stored between LIVE Sessions.
It does not change your username or any information on TikTok.
Does TikChat Create a Profile of Your Comments?
No.
TikChat does not use comments to create advertising profiles or to train artificial intelligence models.
During a livestream, the Application may automatically summarise viewer activity, for example the number of comments posted or gifts sent.
Such information is used to help manage the ongoing LIVE stream.
Does TikChat Send Your Data to TikTok?
TikChat does not send names or designations assigned by a TikChat User back to TikTok.
TikTok is a separate service and independently determines how it processes the data of its users.
