Verifiable facts about TikChat
A concise record of what TikChat does, what it does not do, and which platform claims come from TikTok documentation.
Browser-based operator view
TikChat runs in a modern browser on desktop and mobile devices. It is a private creator view and does not replace the software that broadcasts the LIVE.
Capture begins when you connect
TikChat cannot reconstruct chat from before Start was pressed or from a LIVE it did not capture.
Search is current-LIVE only
Search covers the currently active captured conversation by message text, nickname, or saved name. TikChat does not provide a searchable historical chat archive.
Viewer context is separate
Names you assign and viewer highlights can persist between LIVE streams even though historical message search is not provided.
